Kilton Community Room AV Setup

The Kilton Library Community Room offers an AV system designed to meet a wide range of needs. We offer a large screen TV with wall mounted speakers for presentations. Additionally, patrons can take advantage of the space's built-in camera and overhead microphone array to conduct hybrid meetings. Whatever your event, our room can accommodate your needs.

Instructions

Connect Your Device to Community Room TV and Speakers

Connecting your device to our AV equipment allows you to display your screen on our large TV located at the front of the community room and your audio will be played through the two large speakers on either side of the TV.

Steps

  1. If your see a picture of the library on the control panel, touch it to wake up the panel.
  2. On the panel, select the Video Switching tab. Monitor icon for the Video Switching.
  3. Choose whether you are connecting your device to either the floor or wall connection.
  4. Connect the HDMI cable to your device.
  5. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the panel you selected on the control panel (floor or wall).
  6. Verify you can hear audio from the wall mounted speakers. If not, make sure your output audio is set to Crestron (HD Audio Driver)

Hybrid Meeting Setup

If you need to share your meeting with remote visitors, the following steps will allow them to view the meeting room through the camera mounted above the TV. When they speak, people in the meeting will hear their voice from the wall mounted speakers on either side of the TV.

Steps

  1. Complete steps in Connect Your Device to Community Room Screen.
  2. On the control panel, select the Camera Controls tab. Video camera icon for the Camera Controls tab.
  3. Choose whether you are connecting your device to either the floor or wall connection.
  4. Connect the USB cable to your device.
  5. Connect other end of the USB cable to the panel you selected on the control panel (floor or wall).
  6. In your meeting software, confirm the camera used is LibAV USB SDI Capture.
  7. Also, in your meeting software, confirm the microphone used is Tesira Forte Mono.
  8. From the control panel's Camera Controls tab, use the Up / Down / Left / Right / Zoom controls to aim the camera at your desired area in the meeting room.

Wearable Microphones

We offer two wearable lavalier microphones for use in the Kilton Community Room. These microphones are stored in their charging station in the closet to the right of the control panel.

Steps

  1. Turn on the wireless microphone.
  2. Attach the lavalier microphone to your clothing near your mouth.
  3. Clip battery pack and transmitter to your belt/waist.
  4. When you speak, you should now hear your voice over the speakers.
  5. You can adjust the volume levels for the mic on the Microphones tab. Microphone icon for the Microphones tab.

Assisted Listening Devices

We offer four assisted listening devices for use in the Kilton Community Room. The assisted listening devices are stored in their charging station in the closet to the right of the control panel.

Steps

  1. Press the power button to turn on the device.
  2. Loop the wearable speaker over your ear.
  3. You should now be able to hear audio from any input in the meeting (either remote or in-room).
