This film is based on a true story that occurred during the WWI on Christmas Eve in 1914 - across many spots along the front lines. When the war emerges during the spring of 1914, millions of men were taken away in its fury. With the arrival of Christmas, snow and gifts arrive to the Major State soldiers in the trenches (France, Germany, and the United Kingdom). Yet, the greatest surprise is a truce between the enemies for Christmas night. A Scottish pastor, a French lieutenant, a German tenor, and a Danish soprano will lead the troops to come together for an evening of peace and fraternity. The soldiers leave their guns behind in the trenches to meet their enemies – see their faces, shake their hands, share a drink, and wish each other Merry Christmas. You will be moved by the soldiers’ attempt to improvise peace and fraternity, if only for a moment.
